glen manor house, portsmouth, rhode island

Effortless and Understated, yet Refined. Sophistication found via Simplicity.

Taking place in late fall of New England, this was an intimate and elegant celebration with the couple's closest friends and dear family.   Their focus was to make the day special not only for them but for their guests as well.

From the moment guests arrived on the beautiful Glen Manor grounds to their parting goodbyes — after an impressive dance party — they experienced a day saturated with the signature style of the couple.

Using the beauty and history of this French Chateau style venue as the foundation for the design, we infused the day with elements true to the couple's every day style. Clean simplicity reminiscent of mid century modern and classic contemporary style paired with the grandeur of a historic French Chateau resulted in a truly unexpected experience.

While the weather threw us a curve ball, L + M's wedding is living proof that the unexpected can mean magical. With the most intimate indoor ceremony and moodiest of outdoors, guests nestled in and danced the night away while Mother Nature made herself known.

To top it all off, the wedding day was also the bride's birthday! Naturally, we had a cake worthy of a birthday and wedding celebration!  Standard candles would never do, so the  cake was topped with the appropriate number of beautiful, specially-sourced candles and the couple chose the bride's favorite cake flavor!
